SUMMARY: On May 13, 2008, 19-year-old Brandon Swanson left a small gathering in Canby, Minnesota and began driving home. Instead of the main highways, he took rural backroads. Sometime after 1:50 a.m., his car became stuck in a ditch. Unable to reach friends, he called his parents for help, believing he was near Lynd. But when they arrived, neither Brandon nor his car were there. They stayed on the phone as he tried walking toward town, describing fences, fields, and running water. After 47 minutes, Brandon suddenly said, "Oh, shit," and the call ended. He was never heard from again.
